JONESBOROUGH - Judy Carol Roberts, 79, went home on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of Jonesborough and daughter of James Orville & Louise Harris Lovette.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Lovette, Jr. and Steve Lovette, one sister, Sharon Lovette and her granddaughter, Whitney Leigh Hill.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, of 57 years, Kenneth "Smokie" Roberts, three daughters, Cheryl Vance (Jimmy), Leigh Ann Holt and Dana Young; two grandsons, Kenneth Higgins (Kaitlyn) and Spencer Southerland (Brooklyn); two granddaughters, Lauren Holt and Anna Young; six great grandchildren, Ellie Kate Hill, Bryson Broyles, Kentleigh Dunbar, Ava Caroline Dunbar, Juniper Hoss and Banyan Hoss; two brothers, Timothy Lovette (Jill), and Leland Lovette; three sisters, Linda Woodward, Greenville, SC, Mary Cutshall, Cypress, Texas and Karen Lovette.
The family will have a private service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Tunnel to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10306.
