Preceded in death by her husband Curtis L. Shew.
Joy was born in Oklahoma City, Ok Feb. 6, 1931. Daughter of Martin W and Ved Jeffcoat Barrett.
She retired from S.Fl. Water Management after 18 years. Attended Tequesta First Baptist after moving to Jupiter.
Survivors include: two Daughters, Kathy Shew Lolmaugh(Lewis) Jupiter,Fl and Judith Shew Hudnall(Tom) Flagstaff, AZ, two Sons Curtis L Shew, Hendersonville,NC and Scott D Shew(Marilyn)Sebastian, Fl.
8 grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren
Those who wish to remember Joy, please donate to a charity in TN/NC helping in the recover from the storm/flood. She always called Johnson City her home.
A family graveside service will be held at Rose Lawn Memorial Park in Johnson City, TN at a future date.
