Mr. John Perry Jordan

June 16, 2025

FORREST CITY, AR - Mr. John Perry Jordan age 80, of Forrest City, Arkansas died on Monday, June 16, 2025, at his home in Forrest City.

Mr. Jordan was born on September 21, 1944, in Limestone, Tennessee. He was the son of Errock Jordan and Mary Campbell Jordan. He had a Masters degree in agriculture, and was very active in the Forrest City Rotary Club, Ducks Unlimited, St. Francis County Historical Society, and Soup Kitchen at the Presbyterian Church in Forrest City. John was a active member of the Ridgewood Baptist Church and was a loan officer for the Production Credit Association of Forrest City for over 30 years.

John married Margie Nell Rickett in 1985, and she preceded him in death earlier this year. He is survived by a brother James Jordan and wife Joyce of Arkansas City, Kansas; a niece Maryellen Willens and husband Chris; brother-in-law Clarence Greene; great niece Alexis Willens; great nephews Joel Willens and Carson Willens all of Johnson City Tennessee; nephews Tony Glisson and wife Leeza of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Tim Wallace, Mark Wallace and wife Angie, Joey Rickett and wife Lylaine all of Corinth, Mississippi; niece Tamy Davidson and husband of Brentwood Tennessee.

There will be a visitation held at Stevens Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 6 to 8. The funeral service will be held at Ridgewood Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 18, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Forrest City. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Ridgewood Baptist Church, P.O. Box 785, Forrest City, AR 72336. Visit online registry at stevensfuneralhome.net.
