Joanna Cochran Obituary

FALL BRANCH - Joanna passed away at home on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Fall Branch. Joanna was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Sula Kyte; husband, Eddie Cochran; and son, Chad Cochran.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle (Travis); grandchildren, Averi (Luis), Michael, Matthew, Abigail, Sierra (Dylan), Zachary and Hunter (Brianna); great-grandchildren, Katie, Emerson and Layla; sister, Carol (Dennis); sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna (Larry), Vicky (Matt), Mike, Allen (Amy), Darrel and Russell; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.
Joanna was employed by Washington County Schools in the cafeteria at Gray Elementary and later retired from the cafeteria inside Citi in Gray. Her favorite job was being Granny Jo to all the children in her life. She attended Crossroads Baptist Church in Fall Branch and Way of Life in Kingsport as long as her health permitted. She was thankful to see the services livestreamed as her health declined.
The family will receive friends at the home on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church in Fall Branch with Pastor John Allen officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael Cochran, Matthew Cochran, Travis Fugate, Luis Casper and Dylan Thacker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department, 106 Ruritan Rd., Fall Branch, TN 37656; Crossroads Baptist Church, 429 Hwy. 93, Fall Branch, TN 37656 or any of her grandchildren.
