JONESBOROUGH - Joann Malone Scott Feathers, 84, of Jonesborough, was called home on Sunday morning, December 28, 2025, at her home. She was was born to the late Grover and Mandy (Booker) Malone in Morristown, TN. In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by her first husband, Paris Vernon "PV" Scott (1966); and her husband, Martin Eugene "Gene" Feathers (2004); brothers, Bobby, Eddie, Jerry, Don, and Grover Jay Malone; sister-in-laws, Brenda and Teddy Malone.

She graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1959. Joann worked at West End Grill and the old Jonesboro Nursing Home, she was also a homemaker and caregiver for many of he friends and family throughout her life. Joann loved caring for others and loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She was a wonderful canner, cook, and baker. Joann and her second husband loved raising pigs and growing fruit trees.

She is survived by her only child, Dana Scott (Libby) of Jonesborough; grandchildren, Justin (Logan) of Jonesborough, Dustin, Haylee, and Bryson, all of Jonesborough; daughter-in-law, Clarinda; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Kenzie, Kendra, Kayson, Lachlan, Gabriel, Isabella, Gabriella, Mikayla, Waylon, and Oaklynn; brothers, David Malone (Kaye) of Kingsport, Billy Jo Malone (Sue) of Telford, and LJ Malone (Vickie) of Jonesborough; sister, Donna Sue Casteel (David) of Jonesborough; sister-in-laws, Ann Malone, Lorena Hagy, and Ivy Feathers; brother-in-law, Fred Feathers; along with several nieces and nephews.

The Feathers family will gather to greet friends and share memoires on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. A Funeral Service Service will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John H. Moore officiating. Joann will be laid to rest next to her husband Martin Feathers in Gray Cemetery. Friends may also visit the Feathers family at the home of Dana Scott.

In lieu of flowers the Feathers family has requested donations be made to the church of your choice in Joann's honor.
