Jerry Allen Oaks

February 7, 1958 -

March 31, 2025

ERWIN - Jerry Allen Oaks, age 67, of Erwin, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the Center on Aging and Health. He was born on February 07, 1958, to the late Floyd and Willa Jean Henson Oaks.

Jerry worked for Giant Wholesale and Fleming Foods in Johnson City. He also worked for Food Lion in Erwin for several years before his retirement. Jerry was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by two brothers: Sammy and Roger Oaks.

Jerry leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Leisa Peake Oaks; two sons: Dustin Oaks and wife, Deanna, Hunter Mooney and wife, Ariel; grandchildren: Madison Oaks, Cadence Oaks, and Clara Mooney; two brothers: Ronnie Oaks and Kenneth Oaks (Jane); several nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 04, 2025, in the Evergreen Mausoleum. Pastor Brandon Flynn will officiate. Music will be provided by Harley Hensley and Madison Oaks. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend Jerry's service should meet at the mausoleum by 12:50 p.m. Friday. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
