Ronny Yarber, age 81, passed away on March 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy built on strength, faith, and dedication to his family. Born December 19, 1944, Ronny was a breed of man very rare in modern times, one whose character was forged through hardship, a youth spent roaming the hollers and hills of Unicoi, and a singular mission to care and provide for those important to him.

Long the cornerstone of Georgia Street with a four decade career spent hanging from utility poles and communications towers in every extreme and a dedicated member of Coach Ray Judy's private strength clinic downtown, "Ron Brawn" was a true legend with no shortage of stories to evidence his strength and loyalty. A man from a time that created such folk, who showed his love in ways that were sometimes difficult to interpret but crystal clear in his actions, his absence is greatly felt by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty years, Lynda Yarber, and his son, Kevin Yarber and one brother, John Yarber. Their loss was an incredible burden he carried quietly but deeply, a testament to the love and devotion he held for his family.

Ronny is survived by his daughter, Kelly Yarber; his grandchildren, Kristopher Yarber (wife Randi) and Kourtney Hamm (husband Derrick); and his great-grandchildren, Pandora, Addison, and Emerson, as well as a brother George (wife Jackie) and a sister Linda (husband James).

We love you papaw, tell dad and mamaw we miss them!
