Imogene Clamon Allen July 8, 1929 - August 30, 2024
ELIZABETHTON - Imogene Clamon Allen, age 95, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Hillview Heath Center in Elizabethton. Imogene was born in Elizabethton on July 8, 1929, to the late William Clamon and Margaret Arney Claman. In addition to her parents, Imogene was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles Wayne Clamon and sister, Muriel Clamon.
Imogen Allen was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a member of the D.O.W. Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. Imogene worked in retail for 21 years at ETW&C Transportation Company.
Those left to remember Imogene include her husband of 75 years, Robert "Josh" Allen of Elizabethton; brothers-in-law, Tom Allen (Diane) of Greenwood, SC and James Allen of Elizabethton. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Imogene will be conducted on Monday, September 2, 2024, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway Percy Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Newman and Rev. Matt Swain officiating. Music will be under the direction of Kim Pless and Carol Buchner. The family will receive friends between the hours of 5:00 PM and 6:00PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Monday.
The graveside service will be conducted at 1:30PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery no later than 1:15PM, prior to the service.
