JOHNSON CITY - Mr. Hughy Fourth "Bud" Arwood, 91, of Johnson City, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023, in the Johnson City Medical Center.
Bud was a lifelong resident of Johnson City. He was the son of the late Hubert & Juanita Laws Arwood. He was a lifelong farmer and retired from Raytheon's transportation department.
Bud was a member of the New Hope Christian Church. He was always quick to share his faith. He loved his family and doted on his grandkids. His interests include International Harvester tractors, old cars, and farming.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by one sister, Cleo Foss; brothers Hubert "Junior" and M.B. Arwood; a niece and several nephews.
Survivors include his son Robert and his wife, Regina; daughter, Jane Counts; and son David and his wife, Deana; Grandchildren: Melissa Pizirusso (Anthony), Lori Collins (Jeremy), Matthew Johnson (Amber), Jessica Ford (Jesse), Rebecca Carr (Justin), Elizabeth Wick (Ryan) and Cameron Arwood. Great-grandchildren: Hannah Johnson, Anthony Pizirusso, Elijah Collins, Nicole Pizirusso, Malachi Collins, Chloe Collins, Lily Kate Collins, Carson Ford, & Peyton Carr; several nieces and nephews.
The family of Mr. Hughy Fourth "Bud" Arwood will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8 PM with Mr. Paul Peer, Minister officiating. The graveside service will be conducted at 12 PM Thursday, at Monte Vista Memorial Park, with Mr. Barry Pettit, Minister officiating. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. Ministers, family and friends are requested to meet at Monte Vista by 11:45 AM Thursday.
