Hannah Grace Cook BLOUNTVILLE - Hannah Grace Cook, 23, Blountville, passed away peacefully in her sleep and walked through the gates of heaven into the arms of Jesus. She was our earthly angel now she is God's heavenly angel. She will be forever loved and in our hearts.
Hannah loved spending time with her "sissies" Alicia, Lauren, and her family. She enjoyed watching cartoons and listening to music and also watching the birds on her window birdfeeder. She always had her special friend and stuffed animal with her, Ellie the elephant.
Hannah was born in Johnson City on August 23, 2001, to her loving parents, Samuel W. and Kammy Grimm Cook, III.
Those preceding her in death include her maternal grandparents, Steward and Juanita Grimm, paternal grandparents, Samuel W. And Katherine Cook Jr. and also a dear cousin Chelsea Lambert.
Survivors include her parents, Samuel W. And Kammy Grimm Cook, III; sisters, Alicia Cook and Lauren Cook; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is also survived by her special Aunt, Reba Thompson, who selflessly helped to care for Hannah from her birth and throughout her life. Her family will forever be grateful to her for her love and support. Best Friend and caregiver, Vicki Groves, who has devoted many years to providing care, compassion and love to sweet "Hannahbug" and special friends Lisa Horne and Rita Mosier who also cared for Hannah in times of need.
The Cook family would also like to thank the incredible team of nurses the Lord blessed their family with who cared for Hannah in her home, Nina Olivia, Ingrid Grogan and Karen Seymour.
The Cook family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of East Tennessee Children's Hospital of Knoxville. Specifically, Dr. Chris Miller, Dr. Nadine Turner, Dr. Safina Kureshi, Dr. Rhys Irvine, Dr. Sean Watson, Dr. Kent Blazier and Dr. Josh Shook, who all worked diligently to provide an unmatched level of care.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 5:00- 7:00pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home and Memorial Park- Blountville. A funeral service officiated by Hannah's Uncle, Pastor Chuck Grimm will follow at 7:00pm
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to East Tennessee Children's Hospital 2018 W. Clinch Ave, Knoxville, TN 37916. A memorial fund will be set up in Hannah's name.
