Charlotte Louise Manning Williams, 82, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025. She was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin, to Theron Lester and Gladys Manning.
Charlotte grew up on her family’s Guernsey dairy farm, where she developed the strong work ethic that guided her life. After moving to Florida to live with her sister Betty, she met and married the love of her life, Johnnie Williams, sharing more than sixty years of dancing and devotion. Together they raised three children: Monique Williams O’Steen, Raina Williams Dozier, and the late John Williams.
Charlotte was an extraordinary mother, always present with encouragement and understanding. For each child, she became what they needed most - a calm, guiding light that anchored them, a best friend to lean on, or an unwavering supporter. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Amber, Hunter, Trey, Jasmine, Kinley, Justin, Kailas, and Rhea - she was “Gamma,” and they were one of her greatest joys.
Charlotte retired as an accountant from Hiday & Ricke, where she was admired for her dependability and kindness. Her true passion was dance. A beloved line dance choreographer and instructor, she brought joy to countless people through her love of music.
She enjoyed reading mysteries, playing euchre, traveling, and cheering for the Jaguars, Gators, Packers, Badgers, and Braves. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Johnnie; daughters Monique and Raina; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Betty Willis; and brother Bernard Manning. She was preceded in death by her parents, son John Williams, and siblings Helen, Anne, Timothy, Danny, and Mary. She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and joy - and would want everyone to keep dancing, laughing, and living with kindness. A graveside inurnment will be held 11:00am, Friday November 21, 2025, at Riverside Cemetery, White Springs and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 2:00pm - 5:00pm, Sunday, November 23, 2025, at VFW Post 7909, 6204 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32244.
