WATAUGA - Frances Campbell, age 93, a longtime resident of Watauga, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023.
Frances was born July 31, 1930, in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was one of fifteen children born to the late Harrison and Pearl Bennett.
Frances married Bobby Jack Campbell in April of 1949 in Johnson City. They shared 61 years of marriage. Bob passed away in 2010.
She is survived by two sons, Ron of Peoria, Arizona and Roger (Leann) of LaFayette, Georgia; and five grandsons and ten great-grandchildren: Chris (Terri) and Haley and Taylor of Johnson City; Ian (Kristina) and Talon, Broxton, and Colynn of Surprise, Arizona; Nathan (Amanda) and Olivia and Nolan of Surprise, Arizona; Scott (Shanna) and Guy of Elida, New Mexico; Thomas (Jennifer) and Sarah and Kaleb of Ringgold, Georgia; three brothers, Mickey of Oregon and Ray and R.C. (Brenda) of Johnson City; sister, Neta of St. Simons, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Bennett of Johnson City and Barbara (Tommy) Sams of Watauga; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ava and Roger.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings: Elmer, Roy, Henry, Richard, Clyde, Johnny, Farrell, Sarah, Ann, and Dorothy.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Friday, November 24, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow, at 2:00 pm. Interment will occur privately at Washington County Memory Gardens.
