Camping and fishing. We all loved to go as a family. He was the first one to ever let Emilee drive and she was only 14 and it was at the campground. He would give the shirt off his back. He was definitely one of a kind. He will be greatly missed.

I went to the beach with the Herron family to help take care of Eugene and Bobbie. He caught a lizard, put it in a jar, and put it under his bed. Mildred and I let it go. When he got up he was so upset because his lizard had "disappeared."

One day while I was babysitting with Eugene and his sister, Bobbie, they got quiet, that was always a danger sign. I found them under their bed with blankets hanging down to make it dark, and they had lit a candle for light. Scared me to death.

When Joe and me first got together Joe Eugene and his cousin and wife at the time would go to the Bristol races camp for the weekend. I went with them one time I didn't have tickets to go me and Eugene was watching it on TV he said you never been I said no he said come on we walked to the track there was little left of the race but he got us in so I could at least see what it was like in person.
