Doris and I met for the first time at Barnes elementary school then on to Daniel Boone High school We were friends for 50 years As we got older we didn´t see one another as much as we did when we were in our 20s and 30s We were always there for one another She´s had struggles with the loss of her husband Dale When Cody come into her life that became her number one person in her life She was so proud of him and loved him with her whole heart We had some great times and some sad times when her father& mother passed Then her husband and her brother Dallas Cancer is such a terrible disease Doris fought tooth and nail to beat it off and on for years I´ll never forget when I let her watch my daughter long enough to run down the road to take my husbands lunch at work I came back to Doris apartment and my daughter was crying with a bottle in her mouth I took her from Doris arms and she had pierced Amanda´s ears at 2 months old Doris said well I knew you would get them pierced later so I just went ahead and did it She loved Amanda and my boys she treated them like her own Doris would do anything for you she had a heart of gold She will truly be missed but I know she was welcomed into heaven with her loved ones and the mighty Lord No more pain no more struggling Love you my friend until we meet again

Doris was a really sweet person. You could call her, and she'd drop everything to help you if she could. I've known her over 30 years. She was my manager in my late teens / early twenties - I met Cody after he was born. We've spent time at each other's houses, shopping and going out to eat together. It tells you something about a person that you still try to keep in contact with them after all that time and me meeting her at first as my manager. I met and loved her mother; she was also a really dear person. I will miss her a lot. I will always think of you and love you. Thank you for being in my life and my friend. You will be missed by many people.
