Diana Sells Obituary

JONESBOROUGH - Diana Sue (Williams) Sells, age 71, of Jonesborough, Tennessee went home to be with her beloved husband on Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Diana was born in Carter County to the late Worley and Hazel (Wilson) Williams. In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford "Ray" Sells on October 11, 2022; two brothers, Mark Williams and Dewey Williams; a sister, Frances Oliver; and two nephews, Greg Oliver and Patrick Sells.

Diana had worked as a seamstress at Denise Lingerie and was of the Christian faith. Diana adored her husband that had just passed away 8 months ago and grieved that loss every day. She loved her family and was loved by her family very much. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of those she loved, especially her husband and she "tended" to every need before his passing.

Those left to cherish Diana's memory are her sisters, Debra "Darlene" Lyons and Reva Williams; several nieces, nephews and cousins and her little dog, General Lee.

A service to celebrate Diana's life will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Monday, July 17, 2023 in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with John Reed officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Monday.

The graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be chosen from friends and family. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:50 AM on Tuesday.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in Diana's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family wishes to thank the nurses on the 5200 floor of Johnson City Medical Center for their support, compassion and care given to Diana.
