JOHNSON CITY - David Dwight Hartley, 96, of Johnson City passed away, Saturday, July 20, 2024, at his residence.
David was a native of Banner Elk, North Carolina but had lived in Johnson City most of his life. He was the son of the late Dewell and Belle Louise Birchfield Hartley.
David was a member of Midway Baptist Church. He retired from Tennessee Eastman.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by one son, Rick Hartley; sister, Francis McLaughlin; brother, Ralph Hartley; granddaughter, Kellie Hartley.
Survivors include his loving wife, Alene Hartley; four sons, John Hartley, Terry Hartley, Roger Hartley, and David Hartley; one daughter, Linda Gibson; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
The family of David Dwight Hartley will receive friends from 11 am to 12 pm Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City. The funeral service will follow at 12 pm with Pastor Bill Taylor officiating. A private graveside committal service with be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Midway Baptist Church, 3414 W. Walnut Street, Johnson City TN 37604.
