I have known Mrs. Newby for going on 50+ years. The Newby family was always very hospitable to their sons' friends; many a nice meal she cooked for us kids growing up, many a sleepover on Maple Street! On weekends we stayed over, she and/or Frank would shuttle us to fun activities, like shooting bb rifles at the Science Hill shooting range, skating, bowling, etc.; it was never a dull moment at the Newbys! I recall fondly her sundry avocations: she had prize winning Siamese cats (Zoey in particular comes to mind) that won numerous blue ribbons in cat shows and she grew gourds in their garden which she magically transformed into beautiful bird feeders notably! A brilliant mind, as was Frank, it is no small wonder all the Newby sons were super bright and gifted as well. I shall forever treasure these memories of the Newbys, RIP Christine and Frank. . .
