Mr. Charles Brown

January 9, 1935 -

March 2, 2025

JONESBOROUGH - Mr. Charles Brown, age 90, of Jonesborough, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 2, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Charles was born on January 9, 1935, to the late Edward and Bertha Brown.

He worked in maintenance for many years before his retirement. Charles was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie J. Brown; second wife, Jennie Laws Brown; brothers, Joe Paul Brown and Harold Brown; sister, Joann Walker; son, Sherman Jackson Brown.

Survivors include children, Teresa Owens (Delmer), Savannah Worley, Debra Baney (William), Charlsey Cantwell (Michael); 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; several extended family members.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Delmer Owens officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, prior to the service. A Graveside will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Chuckey, Tennessee.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
