Carolyn Cordell Obituary

JOHNSON CITY - Carolyn Sue Cordell, 74, Johnson City passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a daughter of the late Buster and Charlotte Harris Hilman. Carolyn was a graduate of Lamar High School where she was a cheerleader. She was very well loved by her classmates and was voted most likely to succeed. Carolyn was a member of New Zion Faith Center, Johnson City. She had worked for Can-Tech Industries for several years. Carolyn enjoyed working all kinds of puzzles.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacy Lynn Cordell; three sisters, Nancy Scalf, Wanda Hilman and Lisa Hughes; two nieces, Terri Scalf and Janice Maupin;
Survivors include her life partner, Hobert Redmon; three sisters, Connie Maupin, Kathy Maupin and Delores Hilman; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Sunday, April 13, 2025 at New Zion Faith Center, 1904 Jamestown Road, Johnson City, TN 37601 with Pastor Ernest D. Widby officiating.
