Brian Rowan Obituary

Brian Rowan

January 11, 1973 -

April 24, 2025

UNICOI - Brian Rowan, 52, Unicoi, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 20025, at his home.

Brian was born January 11, 1973, in Chicago, Illinois and was a son of the late Harold Rowan and Doris Canter Rowan.

Brian resided with Dawn of Hope for the past 13 years. Over the years he had many loving support staff who cared for Brian in his health and in his sickness, in his adventures and in his trials.

Brian was easy to love, and irresistibly huggable. He made lots of friends everywhere he went because he was a sweet man who added joy to the world around him. He was a lovely caring gentleman with a great spirit about him, a smile that would light up any room, and brighten anyone's day.

Brian's favorite thing in the world to do was kick back in his recliner and watch cartoons, he especially loved SpongeBob and would laugh out loud. He liked being outdoors and going places, especially restaurants where he could try new foods. Brian liked aquariums and visiting places with animals. He was a quiet, thoughtful, and gentle soul, yet, he always had a mischievous twinkle in his eye. Brian liked spending time with his friends and looking through his family photo album, which he kept by his recliner.

Sweet Precious Brian will be missed dearly by all for he was a shining example of love and peace in humankind.

The funeral service for Brian will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City with Rev. Adam Love, officiating. The graveside committal service will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Johnson City.

I never knew or met Brian, but his obituary sounded and read so kindly that I had to wish him good rest and condolences to his family. I'll light a candle for his soul and maybe one day meet him in the great gig in the sky.....

Even though I only knew him for a short time, he was so sweet and nice to me. I can only imagine him flying in heaven with his angelic wings. My condolences to the family and the staff that loved him very much.
