Billy Scalf Obituary
June 10, 2025
CHUCKEY - Billy Eugene Scalf, age 75, of Chuckey, the South Central Community, passed away Tuesday morning at Greeneville Community Hospital.
Billy was a former employee of Tuscarora and retired from Greene Valley Developmental Center. He was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed caring for the family farm.
Survivors include his sister: Judy Scalf; first cousins and lifetime friends: Jerry and Jennie Scalf, Carolyn Brobeck, Janice Seaton Walton, and Joyce Seaton Sparks; special friends: Charlie Fellars, Charles Burgess and family, Wanda Davis and Penny, Daryl Renfro, Michael Hope, Jimmy Hope, and several community friends; and his dog, Rusty.
He was preceded in death by his parents: William James and Mary Jane Seaton Scalf.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Liberty Cemetery with Steve Stout conducting the service. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
Pallbearers will be Daryl Renfro, Michael Hope, Jimmy Hope, Steve Stout, James Larry Burgess, and Gary Greenway.
Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
