Betty Lou Curtis June 21, 1956 - July 24, 2024
JOHNSON CITY - Betty Lou Curtis, 68, Johnson City passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Carter County and was a daughter of the late Willard and Christine Brown Vance. Betty had worked in Health Care as an LPN for several years. She was a member of the Pentecostal faith. Betty enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Curtis.
Survivors include her children, Timmy Curtis of North Carolina and Travis Curtis and his wife, Kristi of Johnson City; her husband, Larry Curtis; two sisters, Linda Green of Johnson City and Norma Cook of Troutman, NC; three brothers, Johney Vance of Shuford, NC, Leroy Vance of Limestone and James Vance of Johnson City; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Betty will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, July 29, 2024 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Lenny Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Graveside services will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends.

My heartfelt Condolences to her family love and Prayers. We have talked on phone and texted but not seen each other in a long time and I know she was home caring for her husband .and shocked when I heard . I'm so sorry for your loss . I'm glad my family had memories with her .
