Arlene Mitchell Obituary

Mrs. Arlene Bailey Mitchell

November 25, 2025

LIMESTONE - Mrs. Arlene Bailey Mitchell, age 94, of Limestone, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at her residence with family by her side.

Arlene was a good example of the Proverbs 31 woman. Her smile was beautiful and heart felt, she had a quiet spirit and always knew when to share encouragement, gentleness, and firmness. You would hear her say, "Blessed is the peacemaker". She loved her children and showed them what love, respect and care looked like, she taught them how hard work would build and mold them. Most of all she shared and modeled the love of Jesus. She was a wonderful Mamaw that loved all her Grands, each and everyone was special to her. She loved listening, watching and teaching them. She enjoyed time with family, friends, farming, gardening, sewing and baking. Her love language and joy was cooking and serving. She was a daughter, bride, mother, mamaw, aunt, friend that wanted to treat everyone with much love and respect. She was a lifelong member of Limestone Free Will Baptist Church and was an outstanding Christian Lady.

Thank you to our precious caregivers Ellen Neal, Geneva Willis, Crystal Hubbard, Rachel Smith, Mickie Crislip, Amy Hopson and Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice, especially RN LeAnn Croteau.
