GRAY - Mrs. Annemarie Burton, 81, of Gray, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, in her home with her husband and family members by her side.
Anne was a resident of Gray. She was the daughter of the late Ernst and Hildegard Adam of Germany.
She was born and raised in Wuerzburg, Germany. She received her U.S. Citizenship in November 1975. She loved God, her church, and the USA. She read through her Bible multiple times each year.
Anne worked as a Veterans Affairs Dietetic Services Worker and Supervisor for over 20 years. She was a member of Grace Free Will Baptist Church for the past 39 years.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, Emmett Bryan Burton; three sons, Peter Burton and his wife Tracy, Steven Burton and his wife Angela, and Timothy Burton and his wife Shelley; one sister, Irmgard Ebert, and her husband Rudi; one nephew, Frank Ebert, and his wife Gabi; and five grandchildren, Tommy Burton, Matthew Burton, Sarah Burton, Adam Burton, and Jacob Burton.
The family of Mrs. Annemarie Burton will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Mr. Bryan Burton and Pastor Curtis Hurt officiating. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 10 am Friday, June 23, 2023, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 9:50 am Friday.
