Anderson (Andy) Chandler Griffith

December 21, 1961 -

October 11, 2025

Anderson (Andy) Chandler Griffith passed away October 11, 2025 at the age of 63 at the Ballad Hospice House in Bristol following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Bob) and Patsy Anderson Griffith, brothers Robert, Jr (Bob) and Steve Griffith. He is survived by sisters Nancy Griffith Lester (Michael) and Carol Griffith Boles (Chase), aunt Carolyn Griffith Lambert, several nieces, nephews, cousins, special friend Kim Carter, and lifelong friend David Sells. Andy was a lifelong resident of Johnson City where he worked in the construction industry as a talented carpenter and woodworker for many years. He was a lifelong member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, Johnson City. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, October 26, 2025, 2-4 pm, at Munsey Church in the Gathering Place. A private graveside service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to Munsey Church 201 S. Roan St, Johnson City, TN 37601, or a charity of your choice.
