Alice Loretta Midkiff Duncan passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, at the age of 92, in her oldest son's home in Sneedville, Tennessee.
Born on May 24, 1933, in Logan, West Virginia, Alice began a life that would span nearly a century of profound change and enduring family bonds. Her early years in West Virginia laid the foundation for a life marked by resilience and devotion to those she held dear.
Alice was the beloved mother of Paul (Janice) Duncan, Lori (Bill) Johnson, Chris Duncan, and Patrick (Wendy) Duncan. Her legacy continues through her twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride throughout her long life.
She retired from Food Lion in Johnson City, Tennessee where she had worked for many years.
Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who were touched by her presence.

Aunt Alice will be fondly remembered always. I enjoyed her Saturday morning phone calls asking me what I was doing.
She was such a kind, loving person always caring about others. To her family, you will be in my prayers during this difficult journey.
