Kay Mary Obituary

Mary Kay Riley Slingerlands - Mary Kay Riley, 86, passed away Sunday June 30, 2024 peacefully in her home. Mary Kay was the daughter of the late Leon Francis Riley and Mary Rosalie Riley. Mary Kay was born in Beatrice, Nebraska on July 26, 1937.
Mary Kay lived during her long and beautiful life in the Capital District. Mary Kay resided for the last 26 years in Beverwyck Community in Slingerlands, NY while caring for her mother. She made many good friends and was at her happiest while there. She attended St. Columbus High School in Schenectady, NY. Upon graduating she worked for Key Bank and Logic Technology. Mary Kay was a prayer warrior whose faith came first and her beloved animals Jake and Matches a close second. She was a grateful family first person who made all those she touched feel special and appreciated. And for the Riley clan, a family historian, secret keeper, cheerleader and a true trusted confidante. Mary Kay developed the Attitude Of Gratitude in life with the kindness and warmth to all that set her apart. Mary Kay loved to bowl and for all of her life followed sports passionately. She will be greatly missed.
Mary Kay is survived by her sister Elizabeth Riley (Lou Pierro) and her brother Patrick Riley (Chris). In addition she was the proud aunt to, James Patrick Riley, Elizabeth Marie Riley (Paul), Kelly Riley, Kathy Riley, Michael Riley Jr., Lisa Marie Riley, Colleen Pierro and Beau Pierro. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary Kay is predeceased by her three brothers, Lenny Riley, Leon Francis Riley Jr., and Dennis Riley.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave, Guilderland NY, 12203. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
