Emogene Raybuck Obituary

Emogene L. (Delp) Raybuck, 88, a lifelong Raybuck Road, Reynoldsville, PA resident, currently a resident at the DuBois Nursing Home, died on Saturday, February 8, 2025.

Born on April 7, 1936, in Brockway, she was the daughter of the late John and Rachel Lindemuth Delp.

Emogene was a graduate of the Brookville High School.

On March 26, 1955, she was married to Foster Raybuck in Hazen and he preceded her in death on July 17, 2018.

Retired, Emogene wore many hats over the years. In addition to her housewife and homemaking duties, she also was a farmer's wife and with that all the many chores that itself brings. She had been employed at the Rockdale Ranch as a waitress until its closing. She also worked at Riverview Unit 6 for several years as a substitute teacher's aide at all age levels, working in DuBois, Brockway, Reynoldsville and Sykesville. At her retirement, she was employed as a teacher's aide for the DuBois Area School District. Emogene was a lifelong member of the Allens Mills Methodist Church, where she was involved in all areas of church leadership her entire life. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting, as well as gardening and especially growing flowers.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet (Bob) Bickle of Reynoldsville and Christine (David) Straub of Falls Creek; two sonss Roger (Marjorie) Raybuckm also of Falls Creek and John (Robbi) Raybuck, also of Reynoldsville; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Raybuck' a grandson, Charlie Raybuck; sisters, Margaret Doane, Olli Jarrett, May Vanleer; brothers. Jim, Jode, John and Ronald Delp.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 11 from 6-8 p.m. at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway and again from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, February 12. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12 p.m., with Pastor Ellen Bullock officiating. Burial will follow in Temple Cemetery at Hazen.
