Meri Evonne Farmer, born November 10, 1966, in Ottawa, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Michael and the late Colleen Farmer.
Meri worked for many years at National Manufacturing before retiring early. She earned several certificates and a degree in welding, and she took great pride in her skills and hard work. She enjoyed baking, gardening, karaoke, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered especially for the Christmas cookies she baked and shared with everyone each year. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
Meri is survived by her daughter Malaurie; her father Michael of Rock Falls; her sister Melanie Farmer (Monique Castillo) of Rock Falls; her brothers Michael Farmer (Carmen Rabadan) of Sterling and Matthew Henderson (Jeanie) of Branford, Florida; her grandsons Mahkai and Mahysia Farmer of Rock Falls; her nieces Marie, Megan, and Althea; and her nephews Collin and Mavric.
She was preceded in death by her mother Colleen Farmer and her granddaughter Mahkyli.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory.
