Neal G. Wynia, of Hot Springs, South Dakota, passed away October 15, 2025. Born and raised in Hot Springs, Neal made his life and his mark right where his roots began.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Neal served his country as a member of the Military Police.

Neal was the kind of man who could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere - because he never met a stranger. With a quick wit and an unforgettable sense of humor, he could make anyone laugh and feel at ease. He loved the outdoors and spent countless hours hunting, fishing, rock hunting, riding motorcycles, and working on old vehicles. Whether he was out in nature or around the table with family and friends, Neal lived life fully and on his own terms.

Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He shared his life with his wife, Shelley J. Wynia, and was the proud father of Ryan, Scott, and Ty Wynia. His legacy continues through his three beloved grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and pride.

Those who knew Neal will remember him as hardworking, loyal, adventurous, and truly one of a kind - a character in every sense of the word.

Neal was preceded in death by his mother, Derelle; his father, Norman; and his brothers, Dean and Dale. Survived by his brother, Todd, and his sister, Gaye.

Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD. Committal service will be held 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD with military honors presented.
