BOGATZ, John "Jack" Charles, age 93 of LaVista. Survived by children, Betty Barnes (widow of son, Gary), Sherri (Randy) Helman, Terri (Tom) Melody, Larry (Diana) Bogatz, Jerry (Linda) Bogatz, Mari (Jim) Haney; half-brother, Jim (Gail) Bogatz; half-sister, Judy (Jim) Tomanek; brothers-in-law, Ed Lenz, and Art (Joyce) Lenz; 17 grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; multiple nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral 10 a.m. Saturday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1625 Adams Street, Ashland. Knights of Columbus Rosary 8:40 a.m. Family will receive friends 9 to 10 a.m. No flowers, please. Memorials to the family for later designations. The Nebraska Cremation Society. 402-200-3366. nebraskacremation.com.
