Theresa Gothner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care - Indianapolis on Mar. 19, 2026.
Theresa F. Gothner passed away March 14, 2026, in Danville, Indiana. Born June 16,1958 in Chicago, Illinois. She will be remembered for the time she shared with those closest to her, and the joy she found in being with her family.

Theresa was the wife of Thomas Gothner, they were married August 22, 1987. She was the mother of Lisa Wethington (Justin) and Janelle Kozelichki (Zachary). She was also the proud, patient, and loving Grandmother (MeeMaw) to Jameson, Connor, Cambrie, and Logan. Her grandchildren brought her such great joy and many smiles. She especially enjoyed spoiling them, playing with them, and sharing in the small moments that made life meaningful.

Theresa is survived by her sisters Anna Huffman (Jim), Lillian Hager, and her brother John Zielinski (Lori) and her Aunt Irene Kopacz

Preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Florence A. Zielinski (Zajkowski).

Theresa enjoyed being with her family. She loved hosting Christmas dinners to bring family together and traveling with her loved ones to make new memories. Her family mourns the loss of her deeply and feels the sadness of a life taken too soon. Though they wish for more time and more memories together, they find comfort in knowing she is home with the Lord. Her spirit will always remain with them, sharing in their lives and watching over the family she loves so much. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Graveside services and burial to be held at a later date in Belvidere, Illinois during the summer of 2026.
