Ricky Lee Nesky, a beacon of kindness and friendliness, passed away in Flint, Michigan, on May 2, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on January 13, 1958, in Traverse City, MI Ricky's life was a testament to the power of thoughtfulness and the joy of simple pleasures.
Ricky was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind his cherished father, Robert (Jeannie) Nesky, and his devoted son, Kyle (Danielle) Smith. His memory will be treasured by his siblings: Randy (Julie), Rod (Pam), Debra, Terry, and Rusty, as well as by the many nieces, nephews, friends and his best companion dog Roxy who were graced by his gentle spirit. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Lois, his stepfather Don, and his brother Roger, with whom he now rests.
Throughout his life, Ricky found joy in the simple things. He was often seen exploring the scenic routes of Michigan on his moped, embracing the freedom of the open road and the beauty of his home state. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed the camaraderie and competition found in a game of basketball or a casual toss of the frisbee. Ricky also found solace in the tranquility of fishing and the excitement of video games, passions that reflected his diverse interests and his appreciation for both the outdoors and technology.
His thoughtful nature made him a cherished companion, and his kindness drew people to him. He approached life with a friendly demeanor that never waned, even in the face of life's challenges. Ricky's legacy is one of joy, and the enduring bonds of family and friendship.
