Richard "Dick" L. Evans

Richard "Dick" was born to eternal life on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of first wife, the late Helen (nee Vespalec) Evans, and second wife, the late Carole (nee Hipp) Evans. Loving father of Linda (Peter) Nelson, Laurie Evans, Dick (Tammy) Evans, and John (Jennifer) Evans. Dear stepfather of Mike Hale, Karen (Kelly) Schauf, Dave (Ingrid) Hale and Sue (Larry) Pupak. Dear grandfather of Erik Nelson, Brandon Nelson, Madalyn Brown, Olive (Bailey) Willis, Alexander Evans, Clayton Phelps, Holly (Cameron) Rate, Kassie (Andy) Benson, Joe Schauf, Nathan Hale, Loren Hale, and Aaron Hale. Proud great-grandfather of Carolyn, Declan, and Rory. Dick will also be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and neighbors.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Evelyn (nee Verhein) Evans; brothers Ronald Evans and Leon (Dee) Evans; and his stepdaughter, Mary Hale.

Dick Evans, a man of unwavering integrity and commendable work ethic, dedicated four decades of his life to Miller Brewery, where his commitment to excellence made him a respected figure among his colleagues.

Beyond his professional life, Dick had a passion for bowling. His prowess on the lanes was legendary, and he proudly rolled two perfect sanctioned 300 games- a testament to his skill and persistence.

Dick was a friendly, loving, generous person who made everyone feel welcome. He let his light shine brightly and he will surely be missed. Rest in peace, Dick.

The family is especially grateful to the staff at Hamilton House and The Kathy Hospice for their sincere compassion and kindness.

Relatives and friends may join the family on Wednesday, November 19, at HOLY APOSTLES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 16000 W. National Ave., New Berlin, from 10 AM to 11:15 AM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Luncheon to follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude’s Children's Research Center, Milwaukee Rescue Mission, and Catholic Charities are welcomed.
