Renee G. Grant
Aug. 3, 1934 - Jan.2, 2026
Renee was born on Aug. 3, 1934 In Guatemala. Renee was a beautiful woman both physically and spiritually. She was a beauty queen in her town. She emigrated to the US with her mom and lived in San Francisco, CA. She met Eugene Grant and it was love at first sight and were married soon after.
Eugene's hobby was photography and music and loved taking pictures of Renee.
Their son Edward married and her grandson Sean was born. Edward and Sean were Renee's joy and she dedicated her life to her family. Renee had another son, Jimmy, who died in a tragic airplane accident in 1975.
Renee worked as the housekeeping manager at the Historic Santa Maria Inn in Santa Maria for 15 yrs. Around 2008, Renee retired to spend more time with family and her husband. Unfortunately, Renee lost her husband in 2010 after a bicycle accident. She was a widow for the last 15 years of her life.
Renee was a very caring, kind, and wise person. She was petite in stature but a very strong woman. She helped her husband build their home in Nipomo from scratch.
When working at the Santa Maria Inn, Renee made many friends and helped many under her supervision. Renee became very fond of Lorena and her husband Austin. Renee loved Lorena like a daughter and took care of Lorena's sons, Mason and Ethan, like her own grandkids. Mason and Ethan loved Renee very much too and called her "Nana". Renee enjoyed the presence of Mason and Ethan and cherished their time together.
Renee enjoyed gardening, music and taking care of her family.
Renee is survived by her Son Eddie, grandson Sean, sister Carolina, brother Joseph, many nephews and nieces and their families as well as many friends she considered family. Renee will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace
