Norma Stephenson Obituary

Norma Elsie Capps Stephenson passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025 at the age of 95, her children at her side. She was born October 19, 1930, in Blair, Oklahoma, to the late Ray and Sarah Capps.

As a homemaker Norma's hands were rarely still, raising her kids, painting and quilting. After her children left home she attended Rose State College, proudly earning an Associates Degree in Art. We cherish the beautiful family portraits, still-life and Colorado mountain scenes she leaves behind. Her quilts are more than just blankets – they are stories woven from the fabric of her life.

Norma is survived by her son, Tim Stephenson; her daughter, Sandy Bass; her grandchildren, Noell, Heather, Cole, Catherine, Sarah, and Patrick; and her ten great-grandchildren, all of whom she treasured. Her legacy lives on through these and the many nieces and nephews who were touched by her kindness and warmth.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories; her sister, Oma Gean; her brothers, Onzel and Verl; and her granddaughter, Anne. Norma will be missed by all who knew her.
