Mary Hutchings Obituary

Mary Lorene Hutchings passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and support of her family on March 3, 2026, at home in Hickory Valley.

Lorene was born in Sparta, Tennessee on May 4, 1937, to the late Hart and Pauline Hale.

Lorene lived a simple life rooted in love and devotion, always caring most for what had been entrusted to her which was her family and the land that provided for them.

As a long time member of Bear Cove Baptist Church Mrs. Hutchings served fully and faithfully until the Lord called her home.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hutchings is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Royce Hutchings, two sons Greg and Jackie Hutchings, as well as her mother and father-in-law Otis and Willie Hutchings.

Mrs. Hutchings is survived by her daughter Christy McCaleb (Kenny), Grandchildren: Karie Hutchings, Megan Hutchings, Katelyn Matthews (Caleb), Jessie Lawson, Aaron Lawson, Tosha Young, and Bradley McCaleb (Katilin). She is also survived by a host of great-grandchildren.

Services honoring Mrs. Lorene Hutchings will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until 1:00PM, funeral service will begin at 1:00PM with burial at Taylors Providence immediately following the service.

Jerry Pullum will officiate.
