Judith Faith Rosenfield, 62, of Farmington, CT, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024, after a courageous three-year battle with ALS. Born on October 23, 1961, in Willimantic, CT, to Marvin and Alice Eisenberg, Judy grew up in South Windsor, where her father was a highly respected principal at Eli Terry Elementary School.
A proud University of Connecticut alumna and passionate Huskies basketball fan, Judy went on to pursue her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Ohio State University. Her 35-year career was dedicated to helping others overcome communication challenges. Judy founded and sold two successful businesses: Swallowing Diagnostics, the first provider in Connecticut to offer portable endoscopy procedures, and later, King's Speech and Learning Center, which provides speech therapy and educational support services to clients of all ages throughout the state.
Throughout her career, Judy helped countless individuals with swallowing difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, and dyslexia. While she found great fulfillment in her professional achievements, Judy considered her family to be her greatest pride and joy. She cherished her role as a devoted wife and loving mother above all else.
Judy is survived by her husband, Howard Rosenfield; their four beloved children: Joseph, Jessica, Moriah, and Daniel; and her siblings Susan Schmidt, Deborah Eisenberg, and Steven Eisenberg.
A funeral service will be held at Beth El Temple Cemetery in Avon, CT, on Sunday, September 15, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Compassionate Care ALS in honor of Judy's brave fight against the disease.
