Jacob Castleberry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jay Funeral Chapel on Mar. 5, 2026.
Jacob Ray Castleberry, affectionately known as Jake, of Pace, Florida, passed away

Monday, March 2, 2026, at 35. Jake was born in Milton, Florida, August 17, 1990, to Ronald Castleberry and Tammy Kilpatrick.

Jake lived in Jay most of his life, where he joined community athletic programs. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and was known as a fun-loving, loyal friend who will be fondly remembered. His family reflects on those years, especially recalling his joy in playing with siblings and getting into mischief.

At seventeen, Jake's youth was stolen when he was involved in a horrific car accident. Despite this tragedy, Jake spent his remaining seventeen years as a great son, brother, and uncle, always keeping his vivacious and witty personality. Although he will be sorely missed by his family and friends on Earth, we can rest assured knowing he is free from his chair with Jesus.

Jake is preceded in death by his grandparents: Ronald and Ronda Castleberry, Donald and Vonnie Stanton, Ervin and Norma Jean Kilpatrick, and Hazel Henry; his uncles, William Henry, Donnie Henry, and Darrell Henry; and his favorite cousin, Mikey Edwards.

Jake is survived by his parents: Ronald and Kathy Castleberry, and Tammy Kilpatrick. His siblings are Ronald (Katelin) Castleberry, Dia (Danny) Strobaugh, Makayla (Chris) Morris, and John Castleberry. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members, Jay Lane, Daytona Barnes, Victoria Castleberry, and Ashton Emmons.

Services will be held at Jay Funeral Chapel on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chad Diamond and Faron Wilson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time.
