Glenn Butler Obituary

Mr. Glenn Thomas Butler, age 76 of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Services will be held at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence on Sunday, February 1 at 12pm. Visitation will be held the night prior, January 31, and will be held from 5pm-8pm. Burial will follow the services at Stoney Point Church of Christ Cemetery.

Mr. Butler was a loving father, uncle, and brother that treasured every one of his family members greatly.

He worked for the Sanitation Department until his retirement and worked very hard all of his life. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles in his free time.

Mr. Butler is survived by his son, Glenn Douglas Butler (Chasity); siblings, Faye Hill, Virginia Risner, and Roy Butler; spouse, Rose McKissack; a host of nieces and nephews; and caretaker, Debbie Murphy. He is preceded by parents, James Ray Butler and Bithey Jane Butler; wife, Betty Butler; and children, Raymond, Christopher, and Jackie Butler.
