He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—watching John Deere tractors plow the fields, observing birds at his feeders, tending to his garden and flowers, camping, and woodworking. He also enjoyed playing bingo, visiting the casino, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness.
A man of deep faith, Gerald was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Toledo. He actively participated in Bible study and sang with joy in the church choir, sharing his love of music and spirituality with others.
