Furman Lee Obituary
He was born on February 26, 1946 in Sampson County to the late Furman Cortez Lee, Sr. and Ernestien Tart Lee. He is also preceded in death by his sisters Lillian Lynn Rose Bruce and Linda Melvin. Also his son, Allen Harold Lee, and daughter, Ashley Dawn Williams.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 16 years, Allyson Lee; Sons, Corey Lee (wife Sharonne), Kelly Lee (wife Adrianna), Dennis Lee, (wife Suzie), and Matthew Riffle (wife Elizabeth). Also Paula Lee, daughter in law; Brother, Robert Tart, and sister, Brenda Lee; 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Furman is a proud veteran having served in the Army from 1964 to 1967. He was patriotic, loves his country, and is a member of the Veterans Club Chapter 990. He also worked for years at the Goodyear Tire factory.
He had many hobbies including playing the NC Education Lottery, working in the yard, and gardening especially growing vegetables and more. His pets brought him great joy and smiles. He truly loved motorcycles, particularly the Honda Gold Wing and was a member of the Gold Wing Chapter motorcycle club. His motorcycle was a treasure.
Services for Furman Cortez Lee, Jr. include a visitation on Friday evening, March 6, 2026 from 6 to 8 pm at the Dunn Funeral Home of Erwin at 904 Lucas Street, Erwin, NC. Funeral will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Redemption Hill Church on Lucas Street. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery located at 2809 US 421 Hwy in Clinton, NC.
