Ernest Cordova, 92, of Rocky Ford, Colorado passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, in Rocky Ford. He was born Friday, January 27, 1933, in Trinidad, Colorado to Esequiel & Fidelia (Gonzalez) Cordova.
Ernest is survived by his sons, Richard Cordova of Ault, CO and Steve (Linda) Cordova of Pueblo, CO; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, & 1 great-great-grandchild; his siblings, Ermelinda Rodaway, Aurelia (Manuel) Romero, Mary Ann (Edward) Jaure, Augustine (Amilia) Cordova, & Virginia (Ben) Martinez; numerous nieces & nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents, to Esequiel & Fidelia Cordova; sons, Michael Cordova & Paul Cordova; daughter, Irene Archer; brothers, Gilbert Cordova & Albert Cordova; and sister, Stella Salazar.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta with Pastor John Dell of First Christian Church of Rocky Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
