Emma Shedrock Obituary

Emma Rose Shedrock at the age of 88 is at eternal rest and with her love again. She peacefully passed on Friday, January 30, 2026. She is survived and deeply mourned by her brother Augustive Hermes. Jr., and her children Emma Halsell and her husband Robert, Anthony Shedrock, Jr. and his wife Robyn, Gwendolyn Aniol and her husband Fred, David Shedrock and his wife Susan, Mark Shedrock and his wife Kristine, and Kay Dyal and her husband Lee. Also surviving her is her 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Rose was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 18, 1937, to Ruthabell Marie Long Hermes and Augustive Aloysus Hermes, Sr. As the matriarch of a large family, her legacy lives on through the many lives she nurtured, guided, and loved. Her catholic faith was her guiding light through life as the prayer warrior for the family.

Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband Anthony "Tony" Shedrock, Sr. her sister Mary Ruthabell Hays, her brother Howard Hermes, Sr, and her twin great grandchildren Luke and Logan Shedrock.
