Victor Lawerence Minicozzi Jr, 63, of Auburn, Ky passed at his residence on Saturday, March 14, 2026. He was born in South Plainfield, NJ to the late Victor Minicozzi & Patricia Barto. He is also preceded in death by paternal grandparents Guiseppe & Elizabeth Minicozzi, maternal grandparents Ray & Mary Barto & a brother David Minicozzi. Victor is survived by his wife, Juanita Minicozzi (whom he ever so lovingly referred to as the general), daughter Madison Minicozzi, stepchildren (whom he loved & treated as his own), Chris(Kayla) Kelley, Morgan(Jovanni) Campbell, Ray(Cheyanna)Darden, Mamie Darden, Logan Darden & Gwendolyn Darden, Grandchildren, Jackson & Mason Kelley, Jayton, Marley, & Max Campbell, Lasley & Arlo Darden, Maeliza Hardison, Brother, Leonard(Gwyneth) Minicozzi, Sister, Trish(Tom) Asch, & several nieces & nephews.

Victor was very proud of his Italian heritage. He loved & cherished his family & friends. He always made them his top priority putting himself last. He had the best sense of humor & a love of all things sports, especially baseball.

Victor was an active member of the South Plainfield Jr Baseball Club from ages 8-15. He was a traveling all star many times during his career. He also served as an umpire equipment manager. He even coached his younger brother Len one season. He became extremely active 1990-1996 serving on the board of directors as trustee, assistant tournament director, & commissioner of the league. He played basketball on the CYO team. He loved to bowl in leagues & tournaments. He had also served as commissioner of the South Plainfield Floor Hockey League. Victor was a lifelong NY Yankees, Giants, & Rangers fan.

Victor worked in the insurance industry for over 40 years. His last position until the time of his death was operations manager at United Healthcare.

A Celebration of Life for Victor Minicozzi Jr will be conducted at 5:30pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Kirby Funeral Services Russellville, KY. Visitation is Saturday at 4:30 pm until time of service. The family ask that in lieu of flowers please send donations to South Plainfield Junior Baseball Club, 1140 Loraine Ave. , South Plainfield, NJ 07080
