William Wright Obituary

William Henry Wright (Bill), III passed quietly on May 9, 2025 after a brief illness. Mr. Wright was the son of William Wright, Jr. and Helen Waddell Wright. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Anne Tallman. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Jonesborough.
Left to cherish memories of Bill are his wife, Angela; sons, Bill (Stacey) and Ben (Ginger); grandchildren Corbin, Kayla, Collin, Will and Ethan; brothers-in-law, Bob Tallman, Jeff Osborne and Carl Osborne (Sandy); nephews Matt Tallman (Tracy) and Jake Osborne; honorary sons Jeff Tucker and Patrick Drake; and several great nephews and cousins.
Bill was a graduate of East Tennessee State University, earning undergraduate and master's degrees in Biology. Following graduation, he taught at Virginia Intermot College and then pursued a career in scientific supply sales for almost 20 years. Bill retired from teaching at Northeast State Community College after 17 years. Bill was passionate about science and teaching and loved sharing his passion with his students and his family.
The family invites family and friends to join them and share memories in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church of Jonesborough (parking in back) on Tuesday May 13 from 4:30-6:30.

I was so sorry to hear about Bill. The "cousins" were always so close growing up. When Bill, Danny and I were all in college we used to go bum a free meal from either the Waddell's or the Aberles and solve all the world's problems before heading back to class. It was akways great getting to see Angie and Bill at Tommy's house after I moved away. Blessings ,love and prayers to Angie and all the family.

I'll always remember that Bill was so much like his Dad with a project to do on his house or car. We, Carolyn and I, feel so lucky to have seen Bill and Angie during a fairly recent visit they made to Crescent Beach Florida. I have always loved visiting and talking to my cousin Bill. May he rest in peace.

Oh, I am so saddened to hear of Bill´s passing. He and his family lived across the street from us ( In Driftwood) for many years. Loved them all. May God bless u all. Sally price Masters

Bill was a friend, classmate and colleague. He was admired by his students and respected by those that worked with him He. Was a gentleman in all respects and will truly missed. Ian honored to have called him friend.
