JONESBOROUGH - William Trent Taylor was born January 1, 1971, in Asheville NC and has passed away at JCMC on January 18, 2026. Trent lived in Jonesborough. He was preceded in death by his parents William Morris and Judith Sweeney Taylor.

Trent is survived by his loving partner, Laura Gouge, stepdaughter, Clorissa Sauls, sisters: Robyn Davidson and her husband Miguel Gonzalez, Lisa Stephens (Chad); nieces and nephews: Brooke and Taylor (Audra) Davidson, Sarah and Micah (Tori) Stephens, Anna Maxwell (Timothy); great niece, Judith Maxwell and soon coming Judith Davidson and baby Maxwell. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Trent is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Trent's laugh will always be something we remember. He was so fun and always cracking jokes and making us laugh. He was so smart and could fix anything. Trent was a carpenter, loved playing the guitar and creating beautiful things with his hands. He loved being outside in nature and in the mountains. Oh T! We will miss you forever! We love you!

A private event to scatter Trent's remains will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you honor this moment by taking time to express love and appreciation to those you hold dear.

Mountain Empire Cremation and Burial Services, 806 East Jackson Blvd Suite 5, Jonesborough TN 37659, (423-913-4818) is honored to serve the Taylor family during this difficult time.
