JOHNSON CITY - William "Bill" Brent, age 95 of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in Johnson City.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Jean Vandergrift Brent; his stepsons, Scott and Stephen Boggs; a very special granddaughter who was dear to his heart, Ellie Boggs as well as a host of many of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends left behind to cherish his memory.
A memorial service to honor Bill's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. in the First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City, with Pastor Paul Helphinstine officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain Home National Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery no later than 1:50 P.M. The Brent family will receive friends at the church after 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City, in loving memory of Bill.
