Volena Carver Obituary
February 15, 2025
JONESBOROUGH - Mrs. Volena Bradford Carver, age 83, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday February 15, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Carver was born in Yancy County NC to the late Frank and Kittie Silvers Bradford. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert " Buck" Carver, brothers JC Bradford, Kenneth Bradford, Michael Bradford, brother-in-law Sam Carver, and sister-in-law Alice Dalton( Phil).
Volena graduated from Lamar High School and was a homemaker, not only was she a wonderful cook she also enjoyed cooking. She also enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her sons, Steve Carver, and Chris Carver (Summer); grandchildren, Logan Carver (Paige), Ashleigh Carver, and Chandler Carver; one great grandchild, Cali Carver; brothers Dennis Bradford (Rita), Richard Bradford (Carol), Jim Bradford (Carol), Jack Bradford (Becky), and Coy Bradford (Sue), sisters Linda Wyatt (Kenneth) and Jean Bergeron, and several nieces and nephews and cousins that she loved and special friends Jerry and Latonia Hughes.
The family will receive family and friends Saturday February 22, 2025 from 12:30 to 2:30 at Jonesborough Funeral Home. A graveside will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens with Pastor John H Moore officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Carver, Steve Carver, Logan Carver, Chandler Carver, Scott Ingram, Dean Gregory and David Peters.
