Virginia Stilwell Obituary

Virginia (Shipley) Stilwell passed away on January 21 in Moscow Idaho. Virginia was born February 14, 1935 to Bruce and Kate Shipley in Jonson City Tennessee. She grew up in Johnson City and graduated from Sulphur Springs High School. She married Donald Stilwell in 1956 and remained married to him for 46 years until his death in 2002. They traveled extensively due to Donald's military service and lived in many locations before settling down in Hermiston Oregon. After Donald's death, Virginia moved to Moscow Idaho to be closer to her daughter Leslie until her passing. Virginia was proceed in death by her parents and 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include her daughter Leslie, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grand children, her sister Sue and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was full of life and always was so thoughtful and kind to everyone.

I was fortunate enough to meet Virginia a couple of years ago while delivering meals to her. We always exchanged a few words and she would share a story or two. Her smile lit up her face. It was one of the highlights of my week when I was delivering to her. She will be missed by all of us that came into contact with her through our organization. Rest in peace, Virginia. You will always be in our hearts.
